I can’t believe we’re already on our way into July! The beginning days of summer have flown by. We are looking forward to celebrating our first holiday with our sweet daughter, Kezia. The Fourth of July chapter in Celebrations is filled with beautiful, seasonal and festive Paleo recipes, that I hope will bring joy to your holiday. I’ve also featured recipes from the blog and all three of my books that I hope will be a part of your Independence Day menus in this Recipe Roundup! Make sure you make scroll down to dessert, as I’ve shared three of my blog favorite desserts with vibrant patriotic colors!
Deviled eggs are always a crowd pleaser! In Celebrations I’ve created a variety of four flavors, all of which are fresh and a great appetizer or addition to your Fourth of July Spread. Find the Smoked Salmon Deviled Eggs on the blog here. The Avocado Tarragon, Truffled Bacon and Pesto Fillings can be found on pages 187-188 in Celebrations.
These Grilled Artichokes with Remoulade in Against All Grain are a great addition to your holiday grill out. The sauce comes together easily, and people will be using it on more then just their artichokes! Find the recipes on p. 114 in Against All Grain.
This Blackened Salmon with Stone Fruit Salsa is a stunning centerpiece, before everyone digs in! You could also do the recipe with chicken breasts if wild salmon is hard to find where you live. Find the recipe on page 177 in Celebrations.
This is my families favorite burger to have all year long! Find the recipe for my BLTA Burger with Special Sauce on page 172 in Celebrations. If you also want to make the grain-free Poppy Seed Buns they are on page 330 in Celebrations.
These Barbecue Bacon Burgers with Rosemary Garlic Mushrooms from my first book are decadent with bacon in the burgers and flavoring the mushrooms! The burgers are are delicious and smoky on their own if you decide to skip the topping! Find them on page 176 in Against All Grain.
These Gluten-Free Corn Dogs also have a nut-free version if you’re cooking for anyone with a nut sensitivity! Using a high quality hot dog makes all of the difference in this playful recipe, that is for the kid in all of us! Find the recipe on the blog here!
These Red White and Blue Popsicles scream Fourth of July! They are patriotic and free of artificial coloring and refined sugars. Find the recipe on the blog here! Click here for plastic or here for stainless steel star shaped molds!
Red, white and blue at it’s tastiest! This Berry Tart with Vanilla Bean Custard has a nut-free shortbread crust that you can make up to two days in advance! The custard can stay in the fridge for four days separately from the crust. Find the recipe in Celebrations on page 178.
