Hi everyone! We've made it to the end of the week once again, and I'm here to share some of our favorite moments. Make sure to watch the videos posted on my Instagram to see the behind the scenes of our daily life. This digest will give you a look at the family baking time we've been having daily, what we're doing to keep the kiddos entertained, and an exclusive recipe from the blog!

Wake Up With The Walkers
If you haven’t tuned into Wake Up With The Walkers yet every weekday at 11am PT, this is a taste of what’s happening every morning at our house. Crazy kids, messy kitchens and delicious gluten-free recipes!
We added 1.5 tablespoons of cocoa powder and 2 tablespoons of arrowroot to my original real deal chocolate chip cookies recipe!

The type of content you’ll be seeing if you’re following me on stories over on Instagram daily. ????

Are you cooking and baking a ton more than usual with this extra time hunkered down at home? Trying some recipes from my cookbooks that you had always wanted to try?
I’ve always loved how food can bring community together, and even though we’re staying at home right now, it can still have the same healing power within our homes and our families and around our tables. Plus virtually here on social media!
I’ve been seeing so many great stories and posts of your creations, so we decided to do a little contest to bring everyone together during this time and connect you all with like-minded people who are cooking grain-free and gluten-free at home too!
Use the hashtag #cookingforcommunity and @daniellewalker in your posts and I’ll feature some of your photos each day in my stories and then we’ll pick 10 of our favorites once the shelter-in-place is lifted here to send some goodies too and a signed copy of the book that you don’t currently have!
Any recipe from any of my 4 cookbooks is fair game!
And be sure to follow the hashtag #cookingforcommunity so you can find some new friends on here!
Quarantine Crafting at its finest – no planning, glue, scissors, or mess! ? We were so excited to have our @kiwico_inc crates show up this weekend to change up our routine a little and get crafty.
We’ve been getting these subscription craft boxes for the kids for the last few years and their excitement never ceases with each box that’s delivered. As a mom who’s not so crafty outside of the kitchen, I love that the instructions and crafts are all made with kids in mind and are easy to follow. Plus everything needed is included, and ready to assemble and build. Each box allows them to express their creativity and use their imagination, and they learn through the process!

Wake Up With The Walkers – Healing Chicken Soup!
We made my favorite paleo Healing Chicken Soup in the Instant Pot!
I didn’t have all the ingredients from the written recipe, so we improvised a few things, but it still turned out delicious. Get the recipe here!

No one said baking with kids is clean or accurate, but it sure is more fun! You should see the floor and what’s under that tray! ? We made gluten-free Chocolate Collagen Zucchini Muffins today on our weekday live show Wake Up With the Walkers (which I think we should change the name of to Chaotic Kitchen with the Walkers ?). You can watch it for 24 hrs and we’ll upload the higher quality version later this week to igtv too! Click here to grab a copy of Eat What You Love or you can find a variation of this recipe on my blog too!

Wake Up With The Walkers- Homemade Gluten-Free Playdough
Do you have a celiac kiddo? If so, then this recipe for gluten-free playdough is an ideal option without getting a reaction from the typical all-purpose flour used. You can use homemade plant-based dyes, or a store-bought dye like the one we used in this video by @indiatree!

I recently took a poll for the most requested comfort food recipe in my Eat What You Love Book and this Gluten-Free Chicken and Dumplings stood out among the other requests! As promised, it's now available for free on the blog! I hope this recipe brings some warmth to your home, and comfort to your hearts!

Wake Up With The Walkers- Homemade Paleo Marshmallows
Some more of what?
I think being stuck inside for weeks at a time requires a lot of creativity, and indoor S’mores are definitely a good idea. Watch us make these corn-free marshmallows and make your own. You can use store-bought gluten-free graham crackers, or make my recipe on page 212 of Against All Grain!
The best way to toast these for s’mores is to let them sit out on the counter, uncovered, for a few days to dry out first!

These Morning Daily Walks are what I wake up for! ♥️☀️

Lots of crafting over here!

Hu Kitchen is my favorite chocolate! ♥️?

At the end of each day, there's still grace!
