This weeks Danielle's Digest has some very exciting news at the end…. my book tour dates! Other than that, you'll see a bit of what we ate this week and what we've been up to on vacation.

He's my favorite little helper. You can find my favorite spiralizer HERE.

Does anyone else's tp look like this continually? Easton loves pulling out the entire roll and leaving it on the floor.
And yes, that's a carpeted bathroom. Because we are currently living in a fixer-upper. Anyone else get grossed out by the thought of 3 boys using a carpeted bathroom? haha

I tore out my mint plant today since it was taking over my bed, so we decided to put it to good use! We made my Mint Chip Ice Cream recipe from Against all Grain more kid friendly (and so it would be done faster) by skipping the stovetop step and just blending the mint.
Also- I used Native Forest Coconut Milk and Enjoy Life Mini Chocolate Chips!

It was National Sisters Day last week and I just had to celebrate. My sister is one of my best friends, and I'm so thankful of course to the mama that made and raised us ?
(Also I can't believe that itty bitty baby E will be 1 at the end of the month ?)

I created Celebrations to not only share trustworthy special occasion and everyday recipes with you guys but to revive my favorite traditions, most of which were lost after switching to Grain-free. Every page of Celebrations recounts a memory from my childhood to go with each of the recipes, which are a lot of recreations of both of my grandmothers recipes. My dad flipped through for the first time today and teared up with every story he read. Mission accomplished. ☺️
Apparently cold cucumbers make great teethers ?.

Easton loves guacamole lately so I helped myself to some of his dinner to hold me over until our dinner ? My guac recipe is in my first cookbook,

I make these (nut-free) Chocolate Zucchini Muffins “for Asher” for quick breakfasts or a snack on the go… then I always end up eating like half of the batch. You can find my favorite muffin liners HERE.

Baby E is the sweetest travel buddy. We're in Franklin for the week visiting friends and we're so thankful for a last trip as a family before Ryan starts his new job.

I even make my Spicy Almonds when we travel… I'm just obsessed with them!

Sometimes, leftovers for breakfast are the best. This time it was my Smoky Bacon Sweet Potatoes from Meals Made Simple with brisket and a fried egg.

I was so happy I got to hand deliver some copies of Celebrations to my friends here in Franklin. I love being there when people I love, who helped me dream up the concept of the book, and who know me best see it for the first time. ❤️ I cannot wait for you to all have it!!

Save the date, everyone!
I'm so excited to share my Celebrations Cookbook Tour with you guys! I cannot wait to come to your city to meet you all and sign your books. Make sure to bring your copies of Against All Grain and Meals Made Simple too, if you don't already have them signed.
Also, I will be adding some Bay Area stops in October as well so stay tuned. I'll do a blogpost soon with more information on all of these, but I wanted to get the dates out to you all first!

Thrilled you are coming to Orange County! I just discovered your books, and I am so thankful. I have always eaten fairly healthy (with a huge sweet tooth, however), but with the recent diagnoses of cancer for both of my parents, it has given me pause. I have struggled to find the right “fit,” researching, etc. for well over a year, and stumbling across your cookbooks and blog has connected all of the dots for me. I am sending them to my daughter who goes to school in Nashville, and I know she will love them as well. She is the only one of her friends who uses almond flour, and they think she is crazy! Thank you again. You are a blessing. See you in October!
Danielle
Looking forward to meeting you Dawn!

Happy birthday to your sweet girl!

I love that you list all these major cities and then…Danville! Danville is my home town and my folks still live there, I love it there and I live about 30 minutes South of it now in North San Jose/Santa Clara area. Please keep us posted when you choose a specific Danville spot and when you add additional Bay Area spots!
Danielle
Will do for sure! 🙂

It doesn’t stay on perfectly (there’s usually a small pool of the sauce when I take them out of the oven) but it should kind of “harden”. Then once you let it cool it gets nice and crispy and you’ll have the slightly coated almonds & the crispy sauce bits throughout.
