DANIELLE’S DIGEST: WEEK OF AUGUST 6TH

Hi Everyone! I hope you enjoyed your week. I have had quite the busy schedule between last week and this week and all my travels. I wrapped up a trip to Chicago with Ryan for Lollapalooza and headed straight to the first Whole30 summit weekend with my friend Melissa Hartwig, creator of the Whole30. I was home for a few days and then back on the road with Ryan again to Nashville to work on a super fun upcoming project! This week's digest includes a look into my adventures, a little of what I ate along the way and a new blog post for all my Mama's out there! Scroll down to see more!

? It’s so rare that we get to travel for work together, and we had SO much fun!

Thank you to Sirius XM and Toyota for bringing us out and showing us all around Lollapalooza and Chi-town! Am I allowed to call it that as a Californian? ?

This is my favorite “travel breakfast.” I melt for hollandaise so eggs Benedict is always my room service indulgence. Just swap the English muffin for spinach and double check to make sure their hollandaise doesn’t have any wheat flour in it!

Heading home after a wonderful trip to Chicago and a fantastic time at the Whole30 Coach Retreat. So grateful my friend Melissa Hartwig respects my work and trusts me enough to lend me her stage. I loved our chat on balancing work and life, social media, and building your brand/business – and I hope all of the coaches found it helpful!

Plus let me tell you – the 125+ coaches that were there are some of the nicest, most humble people I have ever met!

Do you date your kids?

Last week and this week are heavy business travel weeks for me. I love meeting people and traveling do do the amazing work I’m fortunate enough to do, but it definitely kills me to leave my kids. I’m also so thankful that I work from home during the days I am home and can take them on special dates like today.

I usually try to take them somewhere 1 on 1, but the boys wanted to go together. ?

We left Instagram, emails, unpacking, and recipe development behind. We had lunch, went mini golfing, and spent far too much on arcade games. Because why are skee-ball and air hockey so fun for adults?! Also Easton somehow magically won 1,000 tickets ?

Did you know that 100% grass-fed dairy and meat contains 2-3 times more inflammation fighting Omega-3 fatty acids and CLA? Did you also know that just because a label says pasture raised or organic doesn’t mean that it’s 100% grass-fed and the animals can still be fed corn, soy, and wheat?

I use 100% grass-fed raw cheddar cheese in these Grain-free Cheddar Biscuits and they are just divine!

Ok you have been asking for it for years, and I’m finally giving it to you! Part 1 of my Feeding Kids series is about feeding babies and we’re tackling the first few months with breastfeeding while paleo, pumping, storing, traveling for work, and common problems with breastfeeding like supply and food sensitivities in your baby.

Part 2 will be about formula feeding and will be up early next week! Do you have any questions about formula? Leave them in the comments below so I can try to answer them in the part 2!

Be sure to sign up for my newsletter so you don’t miss the other parts of the series as they’re released!

Guys. My very first cookbook Against all Grain (red shirt ?) had it’s FIVE year birthday last week. I can’t even believe how much has happened since then.

In 5 years, hundreds of thousands of you have bought copies and it has become a pillar in many of your health journeys.

Since that day 5 years ago – I’ve written 3 more cookbooks and over 500 more recipes, had 3 more babies, moved into a new home, made the Forbes 30under30 list, and had 3 books become New York Times Bestsellers. It’s impossible to express my gratitude in words.

We’re traveling together again! This time to Nashville to work on a fun project!
