DANIELLE’S DIGEST: WEEK OF OCTOBER 8TH

Hi Everyone! I hope you all had a great week we just got back from a trip to Nashville and are settling back into our routine. I think Kezia is the most excited to be back home after our eventful flight back, you can read more about that below! This week's digest includes a look into our busy week trying to juggle emails while playing with the kids and our trip to Nashville for some new exciting things coming up! Scroll down for more!

I hope all my Canadian followers had a Happy Thanksgiving. I’m pretty jealous that you got to eat ALL the good food, we still have to wait 2 months! And that you get to start decorating for Christmas earlier ?

Baby cankles and boots ?

This is what working from home really is like. ?

I thought it would be fun to finish some edits and emails from the kitchen so I could spend a little extra time with the kids while they played. Super smart mom move. ???

We have child care in our home so I get to work and see my kids on and off all day and run them to and from school or to sports, for which I’m incredibly grateful for. But I’m definitely less efficient and there’s been many a time where I’ve had to lock doors or hide in closets so they don’t know I’m there! ?Because when mom is there, she’s clearly preferred for everything from get me water to wipe me, no matter who is taking care of your kids!

Does anyone out there feel me on this?!

Got to bring this cutie guest with me while I filmed a show last week, which always makes thing more fun!

I came back to my favorite place this week, Nashville! I was on the Pickler and Ben Show and then met up with two of my friends, Raechel Myers and Rebekah Lyons for a new series that I have been starting to give you little teasers to! Stay tuned!!

Gentry Farm definitely filled my autumn loving heart to the brim.

Are you a plain pancake type of person or flavored? We’re in an Air Bnb without my baking ingredients, but if I was home I’d be making these grain-free pumpkin Pancakes with bacon pecan topping and coconut whipped cream because it feels like fall this morning!

Guys – there’s still good in the world.

I actually pride myself on having really good flyers. We’ve definitely had our incidents but they’re usually pretty good.

Oh my though – last night was a doozy. Kezia was down a nap and we flew at bedtime and she was not having it. She screamed (not cried, screamed) for a good hour straight (I definitely thought it was 2.5 hrs but Ryan says 1 ?). Nothing worked. No distraction, no bouncing, no walking, no snack, brothers, kind passengers trying to help, bottles, coloring books, phones, TVs, baby wearing, or even a desperate attempt of a lollipop.

I didn’t know if she was in pain or just over tired and ended up in uncontrollable tears myself. Easton got cranky for a split second and at one point a man in the row behind us said “oh great now both of them are going to go at it.” Which made me anxious and cry more.

If you’re flying with a parent – please always give them grace. They want their baby to scream much less than you do, I promise.

To the flight crew who tucked this in my bag and made the tears roll again, thank you. And the sweet couple behind me who let her play patty cake over the seats and offered to hold her, and the woman who came to sit next to me and unknowingly sang one of my best friend’s songs out loud to try to calm her but actually calmed me more – thank you. Every mother needs a village.

And we’re SO happy that’s over and will leave Kezia with grandparents on future trips until she’s 2 ?
