I’m so excited to announce the first guest on my tour!

???

This is my friend Michelle Tam of @nomnompaleo at my Celebrations release party and guess what?! She will be joining me at my Lafayette CA event on December 6th! Michelle will join me on stage for a cooking demo, conversation, and audience q&a!

This event is officially sold out!!

Happy Fall friends!! ???

This shot from Celebrations will always be one of my favorites because it has my niece and nephew in it and one of our good friend’s daughter! Look at that tiny Easton-lion! ?

PORTLAND!!

My friend in the middle here @kelseynixon is my special guest for your event on January 9th!! (@thealisonshow we love you too – maybe you can fly out and start a dance party for us ???)

Kelsey and I met about 4 years ago and bonded over experiencing similar losses. We would meet in NYC and walk the park and chat about life, loss, food, love and faith. We’ve remained friends over the years, and now have new additions to our families, new books, and a new upcoming show for Kels!

Kelsey hosts Kelsey’s Essentials and Kelsey’s Homemade on @CookingChannel and was a finalist on season 4 of Next @FoodNetwork Star. She is working on a new show that will air on @Byutv. Kelsey lives in Portland with her husband Robby and 2 adorable kids Ollie and Nora, so I immediately thought of her when we decided to make a stop in Portland! Click here for tickets.

A few of my favorite autumn recipes from Celebrations! That Roasted Harvest Salad is unassuming and often skipped over, but it will change your salad life!

Giving you who don’t have the book the recipe below!

Roasted Autumn Harvest Salad

INGREDIENTS

6 figs, quartered

1 cup red seedless grapes

1 tart apple, cored and cut into thin wedges

1⁄2 cup hazelnuts

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil

1 head radicchio, torn into bite-size pieces

6 cups baby romaine

2 cups baby arugula

• • •

Dressing

1⁄4 cup extra-virgin olive oil

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon minced shallot

2 teaspoons whole-grain mustard

1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme

Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

Method

Preheat the oven to 400°F.

Toss the gs, grapes, apple, hazelnuts, vinegar, and olive oil together and spread the fruits and nuts out evenly on a rimmed baking sheet. Roast for 15 minutes, gently tossing once halfway through, until the fruit has softened. Remove from the oven and cool for 15 minutes.

To make the dressing, whisk together the olive oil, vinegar, shallot, mustard, thyme, and salt and pepper.

Toss the radicchio, romaine, and arugula with the dressing. Divide the greens among plates, top each with some of the roasted fruits, and serve.

Heeeyyy there Seattle!!

Lookie ? who’s joining me on stage for the cooking demo, chat, and q&a during your event on January 1️⃣0️⃣!!

I met @aartipaartipics a couple of years ago a @blogher conference, we expressed our mutual fan-girling love for each other, and have been pals ever since. I couldn’t think of a better person to hang out with in Seattle!

Aarti Sequeira’s a cookbook author and host of Food Network’s Aarti Party, and she competed on and won Season 6 of @FoodNetwork Star with her trademark food signature: American favorites with an Indian soul. She’s a frequent judge and guest on many Food Network shows like Guy’s Grocery Games and she competed (and won!) both Cutthroat Kitchen and Chopped All Stars!

Grab a group of girlfriends or make it a date – tickets are almost sold out!

This event is officially sold out

I love outtakes from cookbook shoots! Easton broke an ? ? and it got all over my clothes (which weren’t mine btw ?).

The scene after this was about 5 awesome ladies swooping in to clean the counter, me, and Easton up before we started again! ??  ? and the final pic that made it in the book!

Tuesdays are fun. ? Mark your calendars for every Tuesday at 4pm PT so you don’t miss out on my professional cooking skills. ??

Is that a good time for you? Wondering if there’s a better time for you to all tune in! Maybe earlier in the day- after school drop off? Or at lunchtime?

I’m feeling all sentimental about this new book coming out, can you tell?

Asher asked to go back through the old books and find all the photos of him, and it’s like our own little family year book between the 4.

He was 2 in Against all Grain, 3 (with Aila in my belly) when we shot Meals Made Simple, 5 with a new baby brother Easton for Celebrations, and 7 with a 2 year old Easton, and new baby sister Kezia when we took photos for Eat a What You Love. So grateful for all of the amazing photographers who captured these moments that we’ll have in print forever and ever!
