Hi Everyone! Ryan and I just got back from a quick trip to Chicago where we had so much great food thanks to all your suggestions! I think our favorite was the Girl and the Goat! Scroll down to see what we ate this week and on our trip and what is new on the blog including a new recipe for Cheddar Biscuits!
Did you know that grass-fed dairy is almost 150% higher in anti-inflammatory omega-3 fatty acids? Or that conventional cows are often fed feed with GMO corn, soy, and wheat?
There’s so much confusion around the term “grass-fed” when it comes to beef and dairy, and I constantly get questions from you guys about what to buy, how to decipher the labels, and why we choose organic 100% grass-fed over conventional. Head to my new blog post to clear up any confusion you may have and to read about all of the benefits!
I took a break from them for a while but I’ve had 3 AAGwiches this week and think I’m on a kick again! There’s going to be 8 filling recipes/ideas in Eat What You Love!
I posted these 2 photos back to back in my Stories yesterday and got so many DMs from you that Kezia looks like me with her scrunched nose. I don’t see it yet but you sure know how to make a mama happy!! ??
S’more of what?
Leftover marshmallows were made for coffee.

Incase you missed it here is my Facebook Live where I made these Cheddar Biscuits with Chive Whipped Ghee
I have cried during each of these swim lessons. The instructor probably thinks I’m crazy. My nose even stings and my eyes well up when I watch these.
She is right there and I know he’s safe, but my heart seizes up just imagining him alone and this not being a drill.
Are you familiar with self rescue/survival style swim lessons? Essentially she puts him into somewhat difficult situations and trains him to flip to his back and float when he loses control.
I didn’t know about it when Asher was little and really wasn’t even aware of how prevalent and dangerous water related accidents are for kids. I read the other day that drowning is the #1 cause of death for children between the ages of 1 and 4.
With everything in the news recently with the Miller family, and a pool-related loss in our own community last year – I finally stopped putting off enrolling Easton in lessons. He’s fearless of the pool and wants to swim like the big kids, but isn’t swim safe.
We thankfully haven’t experienced loss in this way, but child loss is child loss and it forever scars and guards our hearts. And my scarred heart has been bleeding lately for these sweet families who are trying to survive with their babies gone. ?

Above is what Ryan and I ordered from the Girl and the Goat restaurant in Chicago per all your recommendations! My favorite dish was definitely the Salmon with Strawberries, Asparagus, Fried Garlic Chili Chips & Sesame!
We also had a great breakfast at Beatrix and coffee at Dark Matter and La Colombe! There were so many other great recommendations here on this post that we would love to try next time!
