Hi everyone! This week's Digest includes a look into what we ate this week along several photos of my kids growing up too fast! 🙂 Scroll down to see more!
Apparently he watches me closely. ? in the making.
So happy grilling season is back! The tri-tip marinade is my favorite from Celebrations (ran out of time for the chimichurri)!
No caption here. Just all the heart eyes. This was from Mother's Day and what more could you ask for as a mom than all your kids looking at the camera (sort of) and smiling!
I sent Ryan and Easton to the store today for a few things and E ran back in when they got home and shoved theses beautiful peach roses in my face and said “happy birthday mama!”
Apparently it was all his idea to get them and while there was no actual occasion for them (my bday is in Feb and he also told me happy bday last weekend on Mother’s Day!!), I love that he thought of me. He learned by watching the man who gave me the other bouquet behind those for Mother’s day, and I love that even more.
She barely wants to sit still long enough for me to wear her lately, but she’ll do it while we tend the garden. Trying to soak up every ounce of all of the “last times” for my last baby.
French fries are her new favorite. She’s her mama’s daughter. Mom win though – she did eat both stalks of broccoli before the fries!

Watching a child grieve is a beautifully painful thing.
Parents who have lost babies that have older siblings – let them grieve in their own way and on their own time. It changes from year to year as they age and their brains and hearts are able to process the loss in different ways.
My heart swells and also aches when he draws her as a part of our family photo. I love that he remembers her, but wonder if his heart feels heavy while he’s doing that drawing or if it’s just normal for him that his sister is in Heaven.
His drawings change with age- but he almost always includes her. Over the years, he’s drawn her as a bright light up in the sky, the sun in Heaven, a casket with a cross on it, her headstone, and a few times as a baby laying down underneath the grass. This is the first time he’s drawn her in her birth order, and at the size/age she would be if she was here. And I love it. ♥️
Love a good sheet-pan dinner! There will be a bunch of them in my new book Eat What You Love!
