Danielle’s Digest: Week of 6/26/16

[ssba]

Thank you all for your kind comments on Aila's birthday. If there's one thing that makes a loss-mama's heart sing, it's hearing their sweet child's name be spoken by others.

We ate lots of fresh summer produce and salads this week, it was over 100 quite a few days! And scroll down to see why we couldn't eat dinner one night 😉

I shared Aila’s birthday cake recipe and a blogpost. Thank you for all of the comments and love you showed our girl on her special day. ? You can see the recipe and the post HERE.

Nothing beats fresh, homemade tomatillo salsa in my opinion. Would you like to see a recipe for this? I just throw it together without measuring usually, but I can try to write it down next time!

We had a taco night with family last week and I brought a salad. I used a mix of baby kale and baby lettuces, mango, cucumber, radishes, carrots, pumpkin seeds, and Kite Hill ricotta and whipped up a quick honey citrus vinaigrette.

The same salad on repeat All.Summer.Long. I just sometimes change up the protein, like this skirt steak rendition. Same Spicy Almond Dressing and Candied Spicy Almonds that I use all the time! The Manila mangos are so sweet right now, and I’ve been getting a 6-pack of organic at Costco.
