Asher had his first day of kindergarten this week and was so excited. I can't believe I was able to hold back tears after dropping him off. He's growing up way too fast!! As much as I would have really liked to have this baby last week, I'm so happy I was able to be there for his first couple of days of school! This week was about simple meals and trying to use up some food in the house before we head to the hospital to have this baby, whenever that may be!
This is my “alright, listen to mom and come out” face. I was 9 days late with Asher, so going past due isn't anything new, but it doesn't take the frustration away! All of the walks, spicy foods, pineapple, and “unmentionables” didn't help either! 😉
And this is what pregnancy brain looks like… writing your husbands initials on your sons new school supplies haha!
He's growing up way too fast. I was so thankful I was able to be around for his first day of kindergarten and not in the hospital. But now I am so ready for this baby to come!
So I've been hearing all about foods and home remedies that let the baby know it's time to come out and not much is working! I'm not super eager to try them all (super spicy foods because I'm a spice wuss) but this pineapple was a good start… except for the sores on the sides of my mouth now.

In these last few days (hopefully) of pregnancy I've been all about the simple meals. All I've been wanting is meat and vegetables! I had broccoli, mushrooms, carrots, and zucchini in the fridge and added a little chicken breast for good measure. Sautéed it all with a tiny bit of coconut aminos, fish sauce, and ground ginger.
This was a couple of days before my due date. I told Ryan today “don't judge, I'll be wearing this same outfit every day until the baby comes.”

So many of you asked for this recipe after I posted my quick Spaghetti Squash Enchilada Bowl the other day. Here's my 10 minute Gluten-Free Enchilada Sauce recipe! No cornstarch or gluten like the cans and it comes together quickly! I make a double batch and freeze half so I always have it on hand.
Were you wondering who the tongue and nose belonged to in the picture in last weeks Danielle's Digest? If so, here she is! I heard it was recently National Dog Day so I just had to post a picture of the pup. Even though she gets into our trash and eats anything in sight… I still love her so much!

I am always late (7-9 days) So I can feel your pain! You could look into Black or Blue Cohosh tea and Evening Primrose. Also Swiss Kriss can be effective, but really when all is said and done, God has the birth date planned and baby will arrive just as scheduled (even though it may not be our schedule. 🙂 Hang in there. Soon you’ll have that sweet babe in your arms!
