Meals Made Simple Book Tour Fashion

Truth be told, most days I stay in my workout clothes all day with my hair in a topknot and no makeup on. But I do love a special occasion and getting dressed up from time to time. A few years ago, when I was deathly ill, 20 pounds underweight, and my hair was 75% thinner than it is now, a good outfit and a little makeup would make me feel a bit more beautiful than I felt inside and it was nice to feel that.

Similarly, after being pregnant and losing my daughter in June – I felt a tiny bit better about myself when I was able to focus my energy into eating better, working out, and losing the “baby” weight. After months of matching my appearance to the sorrow my soul felt, I remember the first day I went out and had my hair done, put on a little makeup, and bought a new pair of pants that surprisingly fit. The smile on my face that day was one that I hadn't felt in a while. It sounds so strange to say, and I would trade having her here for all of the weight or form fitting clothes, but your demeanor really can be positively effected by your outward appearance sometimes with a little effort.

Now that I can celebrate my health, weight evening out, and hair regrowth, those things can still have the same effect. It is so wonderful to feel beautiful as a woman! Fashion has actually always been a passion of mine. I studied it in college alongside my marketing degree and even worked in fashion PR to put myself through school in Southern California! Just a little tidbit about me. Every time I posted a photo of me on tour I would get dozens of questions inquiring where I got what I was wearing, so I thought I'd catalog it all for you here. That way it doesn't clog up my social media postings and those that care can come here to see it all. Those that don't, don't have to see it! I think that's a great solution.
