Welcome to my weekly download!
I’m asked so frequently about what it looks like to live a grain-free life day to day, what new products I find or recommend, and what I eat on a daily basis. So I’m going to start sharing a new blog post recapping my week for you guys! I’ll try to catalog my meals, snacks, grocery and market shopping finds, and even some of my fashion finds on occasion! These photos, and much more, are also shared on Instagram, so if you don’t follow me there yet make sure to subscribe!
We had a little preschool graduate in our home on Friday so we celebrated with a special breakfast! I seriously cannot believe my little guy is going to be in kindergarten next year! I made him his favorite banana chocolate chip pancakes. I think he's going to be a chef when he grows up. I tried to surprise him, but he smelled them from other room and said you're making pancakes and chocolate! 🙂
Once a blogger, always a blogger. I love this display!! I never in a million years would have thought I'd have a cookbook when I started my blog. It was a place to share my triumphs and failures in the kitchen as I navigated a new disease and lifestyle that came with it, and I started writing as a brand new stay-at-home mom who needed an outlet during nap time, plus a place to share my recipes with people who cared instead of boring my family and friends all the time! I'm so thankful for how much it has all grown, and more importantly, the millions of lives I've been blessed enough to impact. Book 3 will be out next Fall and I think it's going to be the best one yet! More details on that one to come and if you don't have my other books yet, you can buy them by clicking HERE!
These Chocolate Cherry Power Cookies are incredible with a little grass-fed butter spread on top…and even better if the cookies are fresh out of the oven so the butter is nice and melty!
I was on a big photoshoot overnight and Asher and Ryan drove up to meet me the second day. Snuggles are the best!
The props on my shoot were unreal! I love the small things.
How incredible are all these flowers? Peonies are my absolute favorite.
My shoes are older but here's some similar ones!

I was so craving this is banana, strawberry, and almond milk smoothie.
Okay- last one from the photo shoot! How incredible is this backyard? It felt more like a relaxing vacation then work to be here!
I've been in kind of an emotional funk for the past week and can't seem to kick it. Grief is it's own beast, I tell you. I've found over the past year it's best to just wade through and process it in the depths rather than pushing forward and trying to put it out of sight/mind.
I've engaged in a little emotional eating though. This gluten-free pizza and the real deal chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches didn't solve anything, but the baby and I sure enjoyed them! 🙂 Thankfully pregnancy suppresses my symptoms and I was ok the next day.
To finish off my week I enjoyed my Barbecue Chicken Salad from my book Meals Made Simple. It always hits the spot!

Love how you started sharing this, gives me some great ideas for quick and easy meals…(sipping on a banana, strawberry and almond milk smoothie as I type this). Hope you have a better week this week and always praying for you!

Thank you Karli! Enjoy that smoothie!

Congratulations on all of your success, and thank you for sharing your experiences with all of us. Finding ways to show people that healthy eating doesn’t mean just salads (nothing wrong with them) and tuna is super important. If I had to live in a world without pancakes and pizza, I think I would be hitting that grief-point all the time. Cheers to you.
Danielle
Thank you so much Adam!
