We had such an incredible mommy + son trip to LA last weekend to support Alex's Lemonade at the LA Loves Alex's event!

This was truly an amazing thing to watch. The Lady Chefs Dinner auction item went for 3 times what the Men's dinner went for! ???? Every one of these women has inspired me greatly over the years and their spontaneous generosity today during the auction was incredible.

We had an inspiring (and delicious) day at the Alex's Lemonade Chefs event in Westwood. Sickness and death are unfortunately not an uncommon topic in our household but it's still difficult talking to kids about hard things like childhood cancer.

I think it's so important for our kids to have awareness about these types of things. Today he had a lot of really tough questions about disease and death, but got really excited about being able to host a lemonade stand to try to help sick kids.

There was nothing we could do to help our Aila, so it's become a priority in our family to get involved and help other babies and kids any way we can. I love the heart behind Alex's Lemonade Stand and love that my kids can do something so simple to help make a difference and love on others. 

We love brunch on the weekends! This past one was so delicious. It was a pastrami Benedict with sautéed jalapeños.

We had a little photoshoot for his 1st birthday and this was one of the photos we got out of it! It sure was a messy photoshoot with a cake being in his reach, but it was so fun. I love having pictures to remember moments like this! These Honest diapers came for free during his birthday month with our bundle! They were so adorable.

These (now slightly shriveled) Mummy Dogs are like pigs in a blanket and are in my new book Celebrations Cookbook! We use grass-fed all beef hotdogs and love to dip them in my paleo ketchup and mustard!

This is my launch team!! I'm so thankful to have these beautiful ladies on my team and am SO loving seeing them enjoying all of the recipes! I'd say favorites so far are the Skillet ‘Corn' bread, Peach Cobbler, and Christmas Fudge!

Asher's simple lunch to close out the week. I packed him some rolled up Applegate organic ham, TJ's organic hummus with cucumbers, a fruit roll up, carrots, and a frozen nut-free chocolate zucchini muffin. Plus a little treat of dye-free chocolate candies.
