Hello friends! This week on the digest, you'll see some behind the scenes photos from the photoshoots we had this week for my third book! We're getting closer and closer to revealing more about it every week and I just can't wait to share this with you all.
The beginnings of a beautiful set for the photoshoot. I just love fresh wild flowers!! I can't wait to share more about this book with you guys.
A special burger from this weeks photoshoot for book number 3. Be on the lookout for this recipe once this project is done!! I think you're all going to love it. For those wanting the rolls, they can be found in my Meals Made Simple cookbook!
Here's a quick shot of one of Asher's lunches this week. It consisted of leftover organic rotisserie chicken from Whole Foods (which is our favorite quick go-to), Quinn popcorn (coconut oil and sea salt!), raspberries, carrots, and our new veggie victory: cucumbers, and dye-free chocolate candies. And all with my new Whole30 compliant ketchup recipe which you'll get on the blog next week! As I've mentioned before, Asher is gluten-free but not entirely grain-free so popcorn is a little treat for him.
Here was some quick dinner prep because I really only had time for fast dinners this week. I roasted these with garlic, ghee, lemon and sea salt and served with simple roasted salmon.
Since my old favorite brand added corn and cassava to their ingredients, this is my new go-to! They have a vanilla one too that's delicious in coffee.
PS I have a recipe for something that tastes exactly like this in my app Cookery, but I'm lazy ?
If you have Meals Made Made Simple and are doing a paleo or Whole30 challenge, I wrote up notes for the 8 weeks of meal plans and grocery lists that are compliant! I relied on these a lot during my January Whole30 and didn't realize just how many recipes already worked or just needed small tweaks! See the post HERE.
Asher has been loving the Berry Blast Off smoothie from the new Simple Green Smoothies cookbook! I tend to get stuck in a rut with smoothies so this has been helpful to change things up!
And here's day 13 of 15 days of photoshoots. I've been loving all of the beautiful blooms, ceramics, and table runners on set.
We had another long but exciting and productive day on set! We're finally getting so much closer to this book being done. I can't wait to show it to you all! And the kids were in bed, so I sunk into the couch, made a fire and caught up on Top Chef.
When I book a hotel the deciding factor is usually how good the reviews for the restaurants are. I like to try to find a place that has quality food so I can modify things to my needs. I enjoyed a some salmon with sautéed spinach and roasted veggies instead of the potatoes that were supposed to come with it. It was so delicious!
WIN-WIN FOOD
I love that cacao almond milk! It must taste amazing and the ingredient list is surprisingly short and crap-free. I need to look up that recipe of yours since I doubt I’ll be able to find this brand in Europe. Thanks for sharing!

You’re welcome! Yep, it’s pretty delicious and great for when I don’t have time to make my own.

I personally don’t eat it because I can’t tolerate corn, but I buy my son Quinn organic popcorn that’s cooked in coconut oil. You should be able of ind it at Whole Foods!

So, you don’t use cassava? Can you explain why? I am about to do a 30 day Grain free diet with my family of 8, and am trying to learn all I can about alternative flours! Love your site, and am going to buy at least one of your cookbooks!
Danielle
I personally cannot tolerate tapioca (which is made from the roots of the cassava plant) so I stay away from cassava flour.

Thank you!
