Hashimoto’s disease has ruined a lot of things for me, one big one is being able to enjoy yummy treats! My husband has been by my side and has purchased really delicious chocolate for me but nothing beats a home made cake or cookies. I am gluten free and love to bake at home! This giveaway is wonderful and I wish everyone luck with their entries!

Question — you mention that the contest runs through the 21st but you’d announce the winner on the 19th? Just want to be sure I enter in time !
Danielle
Hi Kristin- Great question! Totally a typo. The contest does run through the 21st and the winner will be announced on the 22nd!

I am seeing entries that arent cookies or multi entries…is this ok or is it one entry per person, cookies only? I am a little confused.
Danielle
You can enter with cookies or any holiday baked goods! And it’s one entry per person!
davisesq212

I would love to enter your contest, however, I don’t have a smartphone, (so no instagram or twitter) and I don’t have a facebook account. Unusual, yes, but true. Perhaps in future contests you could have an alternate form of entry? 🙁

I don’t have a kitchen to bake this time of year. My oven is in my BBQ & no power to work the glow bar. Summer when propane & solar (lots of sun) makes it all work. Hope to have a real kitchen for next winter.

I just made the shortbread cookies this afternoon. According to the recipe I had printed out, you were to use the same amount of butter as palm shortening (1/2 c.), but after I’d mixed the dough, I came on the blog to check something out and it said to cut the butter back to 1/3 c. Oops! 🙂 They came out fine though. I decided to use star and angel cookie cutters. As soon as our son and his family came home, they each tried one, and our DIL really liked them (our son missed the sweetness of Walker’s shortbread which we’d bought for years, but I don’t eat gluten). Thank you, Danielle, for the opportunity to win! Merry Christmas!
Danielle
Thanks Melanie! I’m so glad you liked them. You could always add a bit more maple to make them sweeter too 🙂
Bon Viveur
Yes, please. Would love to win it. I am/was to order the stand mixer. I have a whole lot of recipes for making homemade breads, pizzas, cookies bookmarked already. It would be so awesome to not have to spend money to get these! I’ve been blogging about my baking/ cooking a bit too – on nycbonviveur on wordpress, if you would like to check it out 🙂 And yes, I did post photos of healthy and hearty cookies that I made at home for the holidays on my instagram and facebook too 🙂

Just posted my shortbread cookies picture on Facebook…. Thank you for the opportunity to win something that will help in our quest for healthier living! Do we get a confirmation that you were able to see our post? Just curious as I’ve never done this kind of thing before and had to ask my sweet college daughter if I had done it right! Merry Christmas!
