This week you'll see some of my lunch cravings, exciting news for book 3, my favorite shop to get Eastons leggings at, and you'll meet a little green friend that I found in my spinach. 🙂 Plus if you missed my live Q&A on Facebook you can view it now on the blog! See below for more details.
It finally feels like Fall so I'm eating some rich soup. This Dairy-Free Cream of Mushroom is one of my favorites! You can find it on the blog HERE!
I spy something green with antennas! Although it creeps me out to see bugs in my produce, I love knowing they're on there and alive because it's pesticide free… and this little guy survived three washes!! What a trooper.
Baby E was dressed up as a little hipster baby for Halloween. These leggings are from the Monsters Under My Bed Co. shop on Etsy! They do all organic handmade clothing and I absolutely love it all!
If you missed the live Q&A I did on Facebook, you can now view the entire thing on the blog! Take a look here!
I felt like I was pregnant again with how terribly I was craving a loaded baked potato. White potatoes and I don't mix well though so I grabbed a Hannah and stuffed it with grass-fed butter and cheese, bacon and a little unsweetened yogurt.
More and more and more chocolate testing for book 3! This is the cocoa butter so many of you have asked me about. You can get it HERE! It would last a normal person months, but it's gone in a week here in the AAG test kitchen. This has got to be the most difficult recipe to nail for this next book, so keep your eyes out when you see it because I put a lot of work into it and finally got it right! 🙂
We finally got some rain around here! It may have only been for one day, but my rain boots have been waiting to be worn so I broke them in. And good news everyone, some of the colors of these boots are 40% off right now!!
Same sweatshirt and blanket 5 years later on my boys. Side by side you can see so many similarities and differences!
This is what Fall in California looks like. We're finally starting to see some leaves change and it really is so beautiful!
Ever since E was born we've been going on walks on the nearby trail a few times every week and it's such a fun thing that our family does together. I've been loving this cooler weather! Oh and Asher is that little blur ahead of us on his scooter!
This is what movie theater snacks looks like for this family! Homemade organic popcorn with some grass-fed butter and sea salt for the boys, fruit, and some dye-free candies. Last time I let Asher eat movie theater popcorn was when he was 3 and he threw up afterwards.. so homemade it is!The classic projectile vomit after a feeding… only this time I was in Anthropologie and it got all over their beautiful blue velvet sofa and all down my shirt. The sales ladies were all so kind and understanding and even helped me clean up and get a new shirt.
I make it my mission to find some of the best coffee in the city I'm traveling in and bring Ryan back a pound. This time it was Honest Roasters that I found in Franklin!

The ladies at Anthro sound really sweet – plus I love that sign on the chair 🙂 In my basket of odds and ends of food, I’ve got some cocoa butter that I bought in Sweden. Def keeping my eyes peeled for the new book. Perhaps I’ll finally tackle a recipe and use up that cocoa butter! Keep up the lovely posts. I love reading them 🙂

Thank you Kathryn!

Good morning. I seriously thought the pictures were of one baby! Too cute.
I was wondering about the “Hannah” that you mentioned. Is that a white sweet potato? We all are missing potatoes here, though they upset my husband’s stomach and I think my daughter’s skin. Can’t seem to get them on to sweet potatoes. Does the Hannah taste not as sweet?
Also, does the homemade popcorn do ok with the no grains diet? Corn is not Paleo, right? But do you find that you can get by with it? We are also missing our popcorn in a serious way. I have tried to reintroduce it a couple of times (not made here I will say) and it seems my daughter’s skin is irritated. Sorry to go on.
Thank you for all the great recipes. Can’t wait to try the zucchini chocolate muffins as I have some zucchini in the crisper drawer that need to be used!

Yes, Hannah sweet potatoes are a white sweet potato. I find them to be less sweet and more like a standard white potato, although they are a bit sweet. Corn is considered a grain so it is no Paleo. I don’t eat it although my son is gluten-free and can tolerate corn so on occasion I’ll give him some homemade popcorn! I always say that everyone’s body is different so if you’re finding you can’t tolerate something then just take a break from it! I wish you and your family full healing!

Haha! Oh no!!
