Welcome to my weekly download!
I’m asked so frequently about what it looks like to live a grain-free life day to day, what new products I find or recommend, and what I eat on a daily basis. So I’m going to start sharing a new blog post recapping my week for you guys! I’ll try to catalog my meals, snacks, grocery and market shopping finds, and even some of my fashion finds on occasion! These photos, and much more, are also shared on Instagram, so if you don’t follow me there yet make sure to subscribe
If you think that I can cook anything perfectly every time… you're wrong! This is what I've been baking up in the Against all Grain test kitchen. I think it may need a little more work!
I have such a summer sweet tooth lately! All of these amazing desserts can be found in my Meals Made Simple book and half of them are even nut-free! Grab a copy for 40% now!
This was the last beautiful wedding of the season for us and my feet, belly and hips are officially sore from too much dancing! This shirt dress is non-maternity!

I admit, there are definitely times when my sons meals are more appealing to me than a “grown-up” meal. These are the Chicken Nuggets from my blog and also in my app Cookery)
We were so blessed to have my sister and her family come stay with us last week. We sure were carrying some precious cargo with us! Asher was so sad when they had to leave.
I was so honored to be named one of the “Insta-Greats” by Naturally Danny Seo Magazine!
In my former days (like high school) I loved Taco Bell. I haven't eaten it in probably 8-10 years but their Pintos and Cheese sounded SO good the other day. So… I took the beans from leftover Mexican that no one ate, and topped them with my gluten-free enchilada sauce (recipe in my app Cookery), and grass-fed cheese.
This little guy was pretty stoked when the Warriors brought in the win!

Hi Barb! There’s definitely a lot of recipes that could work with those restrictions in both books but they are not written specially for those diets.
Danielle
Thank you Dawn! They were supposed to be chocolate whoopie pies!

I really hope you people do realise many of these ridiculous diets such as the paleo, low carb and other fad diets are dreadful for your health! These diets are cutting out vital nutrients necessary for normal body function and they are definitely not sustainable in the long term. I do understand people have certain health issues restricting the consumption of certain foods. But if you are using diets to lose weight, studies show 1 out of 10 people are successful and the other 9 will more often than not put on more weight! To lose weight all you have to do is eat fruit and veg, exercise regularly, DO NOT eat coconut milk (it is one of the worst food you can eat due to the high amounts of saturated fat), limit your processed food intake (LIMIT you can still eat them in moderation) and finally dont give up after a week of not seeing any change, give it time and you will notice a change!

If you read Danielle’s story you would know that the way she eats is for her health, not weight loss. Why would you come to a site that shares info about a grain-free, whole foods lifestyle and get on a soapbox? You cannot presume to tell anyone how to eat. Everyone finds their own way to health whether it’s grain-free or not. If paleo is not your thing, then find a website with information you can use and don’t troll ones you disagree with.

Hi Becky! Hollandaise is really tricky to get (conventional or paleo). Some common problems are butter being pouring in too quickly or the butter may not be hot enough. Also, the tips that I give on my fixing a broken mayonnaise video can work similarly for fixing a hollandaise! Here’s the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZBB607qNOU

Hi Susan- I have plenty of egg and nut free recipes in my books and on my blog! Many of my recipes that do include eggs can easily be replaced with either applesauce, banana, or a flax-egg or chia-egg!

Hello Danielle! I am new to blogging so I hope I do this right! 🙂 I want to thank you for all you do! I have been gluten free for the past four years due to celiac/gluten intolerance and I also have fibromyalgia. It was not until I began eating Paleo that all my pain went away and I feel amazing and feel twenty years younger. I want to thank you so much for your excellent cookbooks! I purchased both of them last year and began cooking Paleo.I did not know at the time that you had UC. My husband began reading your first book and we learned about your story. My husband has UC and we have been trying to learn how to heal UC naturally without drugs. The Paleo Lifestyle IS what we believe will work. Eating the foods our bodies were designed by God to eat IS the healthiest “diet” we can eat! Your are an amazing person for sharing about your life and my husband and I really appreciate all you have done to help others. We just had your banana pancakes for breakfast this morning and they were delicious! Many blessings are wished for you and your family!
